How do you grow the bamboo Fargesia Rufa?
The bamboo Fargesia Rufa is a medium-sized bamboo species that is non-invasive. It is a very much sought after plant with a good reason for it. The Fargesia Rufa looks simply stunning with its bushy appearance and fresh green leaves. It can grow quite tall, reaching heights of up to 6 metres.
The Fargesia Rufa is not a difficult bamboo to grow. It will thrive in both full sun and partial shade conditions. In terms of soil requirements, the Fargesia Rufa prefers a moist but well-drained soil. It is best to plant your bamboo in late spring or early summer.
When planting your bamboo, be sure to dig a hole that is twice the size of the root ball. Be sure to amend the soil with some compost before placing the plant in the hole. Backfill the hole with soil and tamp it down gently. Water thoroughly after planting.
